Food Prices - Save some money

Dammit, it isn't bad enough that I have to watch every mile I drive, I now have to watch every dollar I spend on food. Simply Orange OJ has gone from $2.50 per 32 oounces to $3.99 in less than a year. Milk is $6 per gallon, cheese and vegetable prices have gone through the roof.
These prices are eating up even middle class families' food budgets.
To offset your shrinking food budget, shop with angelfoodministries.com .
Just go look at the site and know this: no income info required, no income restrictions, having people buy the boxes gives them money to buy food for low income folks.

kittens, cats and comfort- first blog, nothing special

We were a two-cat household less than a year ago. In December the lot next to ours had some work done on it requiring large, noisy equipment. That noise level led to the appearance of a feral mother cat and three kittens.
The kittens are now tame and have the run of the house and of us. Randy, our talkative brown tabby, is currently lodged between the laptop and sofa arm on my left leg. He's stretching now, displaying his pink and black toe pads, sleeping happily with no worries about predators or discomfort.
Our flame-point Siamese, Romeo, is a big "mama's boy" and is waiting for Randy to move on so he can reclaim his spot.
All of the cats except for the still-feral mom (named Barbi and affectionately referred to as Hiss Kitty) are firm in their belief that laying on us is essential to our mutual comfort.
I think they are correct. I can see the stress melting from my husband's face when our black kitten, Porter, makes a nest in his blanket-covered lap.
When it comes to relaxing, there is not much better for me than being curled up on the couch for a nap with a down pillow, airplane blanket and a cat while an afternoon summer shower provides the background music. I had one of those sweetly simple episodes this afternoon. I'd settled into the couch and before I fell asleep Randy came to perch in the curve my body makes on the couch, snuggled as closely as he can to my tummy. Rain was falling, he was purring, and all was right in the world for one perfect hour.
